American CPE is a NASBA Registry QAS provider As a member of the registry, its courses are accepted by all 50 state boards of accountancy. In addition, we are registered as CPE providers in certain other states that require such registration.
Most states do not individually register sponsors. We are, however, registered with these individual state boards and organizations:
NASBA Registry: #108096
New Jersey: #1754
New York: #001912
Society of Financial Examiners: #5134
American CPE courses are considered "interactive" and meet the rules for interactivity established jointly by the AICPA and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). State Boards of Accountancy still have the final authority on these matters, however, so check with your state board if you are uncertain as to whether NASBA QAS Registry approved courses are accepted for self-study by your state.
Because California does not "pre-approve" courses, we have noted the courses in our catalog and on our Web site that follow the California State Board of Accountancy's fraud guidelines.
All of our exams require a 70% to pass, except for Ethics courses where noted.
For information regarding administrative policies such as complaint and refund, please contact our offices at (800) 990-4273.
CPE Credit Measurement is based on NASBA's Registry guidelines and NASBA's Registry guidelines of 1 credit for every 50 minutes.
