I am under a deadline and need my CPE now!! You can receive your test results and Certificate of Completion immediately upon completing a course by simply logging in to our website Testing Center and completing your exam for an instant certificate!  Or, you can also fax your answer sheet to us at 1-817-473-4998 for grading.  Our courses can also be shipped to you via Fed Ex express for a small shipping fee.   What happens if I don't pass the exam? If for some reason, you don't pass the exam on your first try, you may take it again as much and as often as you like for one year from the date of purchase until you pass it.  No one has ever taken more than two times to pass an exam and the vast majority of our customers pass the exams on their first try. Do you offer a group discount for self-study? We sell Extra Exams (reading materials not included; exams only) for additional participants at a fraction of the cost of complete courses. A group can purchase one copy of a course, as many Extra Exams as they would like, and share the reading materials. Extra Exams should normally be purchased at the same time you purchase the course, because we cannot sell Extra Exams for discontinued courses, including old yearly updates. (All Extra Exams must be completed within one year from purchase of the Extra Exam.) How long do I have to complete my exam for credit? As a NASBA Registry-approved sponsor of CPE, American CPE complies with all of the standards of the AICPA/NASBA Registry CPE course standards.  NASBA and AICPA rules state that you have up to one entire year from the date of purchase to complete your exam. I am ready to take my exam and have it graded. What do I need to do? Receiving your Certificate of Completion is fast and easy!  By logging in to our website using the email address or login you supplied when you placed the order, you can go to the Testing Center, complete the exam and have it graded instantly!  When you pass the exam a certificate is immediately available for viewing or printing!  Or, simply bubble-in the answers on your answer sheet and fax the answer sheet for your exam to 817-473-4998 and it will be promptly graded and a certificate will be emailed to you. Normally, certificates are emailed the very same day that you fax it in to us.  If you need it faster, just let us know! Do I have to be online to take download courses or can I save them to my hard drive? If you order the download version of any of our courses, you will be able to download it directly to your hard drive in either of two ways:  First, you will received a download link on the last "invoice" screen of your order and second, you will also receive an immediate email with the link in it also!  By clicking on either of these links a new folder on your C drive will be created and all necessary text and exam files will be downloaded into that folder.  Once the download is complete, either the text or exam file will then be displayed on your computer.  All files, however, are immediately available to you by simply navigating to the new American CPE folder on your C drive and double-clicking on the desired Adobe pdf file. How do you ship your orders? We ship via Fed Ex, including international shipments, so we require a street address (no PO boxes). If you aren't going to be home, it's best to have your order shipped to your work address where someone can sign for it. We have a thirty-day money-back guarantee, so please examine your order as soon as you receive your package. If you require international shipping, please call us at 1-800-990-4273 or email us at director@americancpe.com with the desired courses and shipping information.  We will be happy to assist you with your order and inform you of the actual shipping cost.  International orders, however, are immediately available with no shipping cost if the download version is selected. If you are in a hurry to receive your materials, please place your order as early in the day as possible so that we can ensure it ships out that day. Generally, orders received before 3:00 p.m. central time are shipped out the same day the order is received; orders received after 3:00 p.m. central time are shipped the following business day. Are American CPE courses accepted in my state?   American CPE is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a member of the registry.  In addition, we are registered as CPE providers in certain other states that require such registration.  Only six states require a form of registration other than the generally accepted NASBA/AICPA Registry:  Florida,  Minnesota, Mississippi,  Oregon, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  If you are licensed in one of these states, please check with your state board to find a provider required by that state board. What are your sponsor ID numbers? American CPE is a registered sponsor of continuing education for CPAs and IRS Enrolled Agents.  If you would like CFP credit for a course not currently registered with the CFP board, you may submit it personally to the CFP board for their approval.  CFP approval is entirely at the discretion of the CFP board.  Customers may be able to submit our courses to institutions or organizations for other types of credit but we cannot guarantee that credit will be granted.  For more information contact your professional organization. Are your courses considered "interactive" for my state? American CPE courses are considered "interactive" and meet the rules for interactivity established jointly by the AICPA and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).  State Boards of Accountancy still have the final authority on these matters, however, so check with your state board if you are uncertain as to whether NASBA Registry approved courses are accepted for self-study by your state. Do your courses meet the California 8-credit fraud requirement? Because California does not "pre-approve" courses, we have noted the courses in our catalog and on our Web site that follow the California State Board of Accountancy's fraud guidelines. Presently, we have two courses designed specifically to meet that requirement:  The Detection and Prevention of Fraud in Financial Statements and Internal Control & Fraud Detection . What percentage do I need to get on my self-study exam to pass and receive credit? All of our exams require a 70% to pass, except for Ethics courses where noted. What is American CPE's credit measurement based on?   CPE Credit Measurement is based on NASBA's Registry guidelines and NASBA's Registry guidelines of 1 credit for every 50 minutes.
